Tink and the Italian Stud. Not.

July 8th, 2012 by

Look at me!

Okay, look at the guy if you must. Nice. Right?

What is Tink praying for?  Just a quick wink would be appreciated.

Prayer obviously not specific enough.

Fried food. That is Chicken fried steak, fried okra, fried catfish, and fried hushpuppies, y’all.

The Divide one room school house in Real County.  That is Re-AL, y’all.  Note the stretch Cadillac school bus.  And there is a black one out back in the pasture. The cattle guard keeps the livestock from getting out onto the road.

Before and after: Both Gorgeous!

March 16th, 2012 by

This is Yvonne.  She is gorgeous through and through… She bakes fresh pumpkin bread for Yarns in the Farms every Saturday.

She brings stuffed mushrooms to every Tuesday knit night.

She is a Patriots fan.  She works at Gorton’s Seafood in Gloucester.

Yvonne learned to knit almost a year ago, after she bought a Floofy skirt kit at the Landmark School auction.

Here is Yvonne rockin’ her HOT-off-the-needles Which do you Choose dress, made with hand dyed yarn from Mad Color’s Heather, from Gloucester. Nuff said.

Masai Tribal knits… wild African dogs…

February 12th, 2012 by

Like  most knitters, when my sister Jeannine and I travel, we always carry extra yarn, just in case.  Here is Jeannine with her Masai guides in Tanzania, donning their hand-knit beanies, made on the spot by my sister.  What a great way to connect with people!

And here is the fierce South African weenie dog, Sizzles, in his new hand-knit sweater.
